The story
Twenty years of one obsession.
Ekkono was founded in Barcelona more than twenty years ago by David Hernández and Carles Romagosa. Their question was simple and unfashionable: if the best players are the ones who understand the game fastest, why does almost nobody train understanding?
What started as a way to develop individual players became a full methodology — now used by 25,000+ coaches in more than 70 countries, and by clubs and federations including FC Barcelona, PSG and FIFA education programs.
The Ekkono Engine is the official US home of that method. We are based in Maryland and work with players, coaches and clubs across the country, with analysis delivered by certified Ekkono coaches in Barcelona.

The US expansion is led by Stefan Triandafilou — entrepreneur, coach, and a partner and friend of the Ekkono founders for over 10 years. Stefan has trained with David Hernández and Carles Romagosa at Paris Saint-Germain's Camp des Loges, studied the method at the source, and now brings it home to American players and coaches.
